Both Deceased Students Revealed in the Providence Campus Attack as Authorities Continue Manhunt for Killer.

The pair of scholars who were killed in the recent mass shooting on the university campus were being remembered Monday – amid a widespread hunt for their killer carried on following the discharge by authorities in Rhode Island of the sole person of interest in the case.

Honoring a Lost Student

The student Ella Cook, a second-year student from Alabama, was remembered as “an incredible, grounded, faithful, bright light”, according to the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Birmingham, which paid tribute to her at a service on Sunday.

She served as the vice-presidency of Brown’s chapter of College Republicans of America, the group said. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt also shared words of sorrow publicly, stating: “It's indescribable. Thinking of her loved ones and companions, particularly her mother and father.”

MukhammadAziz Umurzokov

The other person killed was an Uzbek national named MukhammadAziz Umurzokov, a citizen of Uzbekistan in his freshman year at the Ivy League university, family members said.

The victim's identification was confirmed by the foreign office of Uzbekistan.

“He was exceptionally gentle, witty, and bright. He had big dreams of entering the field of neurosurgery and aiding others,” Samira Umurzokova, his sister said in a online post.

What Happened

Nine other people were wounded in Saturday’s attack in the school of engineering of Brown’s campus in Providence, during the institution's end-of-term tests.

Law enforcement reported by the end of Sunday that a 24-year-man detained in a police operation at a lodging about around 27 kilometers from the campus earlier in the day was being released.

“A perpetrator remains free,” stated Peter Neronha, Peter Neronha.

He added, “Occasionally a probe goes down a path, and then you have to regroup and go in another, and that is the current situation over the last 24 hours or so.”

Public Fear

Providence’s mayor, Brett Smiley, noted: “We know that this is likely to cause renewed concern for our city”.

The assailant opened fire inside a classroom in the building on over the weekend, shooting over four dozen bullets from a 9mm handgun, a police source informed the media outlet.

Officers that entered the lodging recovered two handguns and two loaded 30-round magazines when the suspect was arrested, according to reports.

The Wounded Victims

Of the nine hurt, one pupil was released from the hospital, mentioned Christina Paxson, Christina Paxson. Seven others were in grave but unchanging health, and another was critically ill, authorities stated on Sunday.

A private school, a private K-12 school in North Carolina, said Kendall Turner, Kendall Turner, was one of the critically injured.
